Our founder, Yongama Fongoqa, hails from Tsomo in the Eastern Cape and currently resides in Cape Town. Yongama holds an N2-N3 qualification in Electronic Technology and began his career in 2014 as a Security Technician at Iron Curtain Security, specializing in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of CCTV cameras, alarm systems, intercoms, and access control systems. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for keeping people safe and decided to deepen his knowledge through business studies and research into the security industry.

In 2022, Yongama gained further industry experience working with Lodge Security, expanding his understanding of security operations and client needs. Driven by his technical expertise and a commitment to combating the rising crime rates in Cape Town and surrounding areas, YONGS SECURIECOM was officially registered in 2023.
